- Every page now has a full Hindi version at /hi/…, with its own address, Hindi navigation, breadcrumbs and hreflang links between the English and Hindi pages.
- Tool pages expanded with step-by-step instructions, worked-example tables, common mistakes, more FAQs and a Sources box showing "Last verified: 28 Oct 2026".
- New: commutation & restoration calculator, minimum pension under the 8th CPC, life certificate (Jeevan Pramaan) guide and our editorial policy.
- Sources re-checked on 28.10.2026: DoPPW DR OM of 24.04.2026, DoPPW OMs of 04.08.2016 and 12.05.2017, Pensioners' Portal retirement benefits and FAQs, UIDAI life certificate FAQs, PIB releases of 01.04.2026 and 19.03.2020. The Rajya Sabha FMA link is no longer used (the page returned an error); FMA is now sourced to the Pensioners' Portal FAQ.
- About page rewritten: the site is run by the 8CPC Pension Calculator team.
- Added pension by amount: one page for each basic pension from ₹9,000 to ₹1,00,000 (18 amounts, English and Hindi) with the estimate at every fitment factor, DR, arrears, the 40% commutation case and family pension. Numbers come from the same settings and rounding as the calculator. No rates changed.
- Added the basic pension finder: works back from the monthly bank credit (DR, additional pension, commutation deduction, Fixed Medical Allowance and other deductions) or from PPO figures, and pre-fills the main calculator.
- Added the pre-2016 pensioners calculator: both 7th CPC methods (pension on 31.12.2015 × 2.57, and 50%/30% of notional pay on 01.01.2016) as set out in DoPPW OMs dated 04.08.2016 and 12.05.2017, checked against the worked examples in the 12.05.2017 OM.
- Added the DA/DR calculator with arrears for a DR increase. The July 2026 rate is pre-filled as an estimate (63%) and labelled as not announced.
- Added How we calculate (formulas, assumptions, official sources) and this changelog; linked from every footer and every calculator result.
- Checked pib.gov.in at about 2:00 pm IST (list last updated 1:47 pm): no Cabinet decision on the July 2026 DA/DR instalment. DR stays at 60%.
- Rates are now also published as a machine-readable file, /assets/rates.json, generated from the calculator settings.
- Navigation simplified for pensioner tasks; fitment, defence and chart pages moved to the footer and related links.
- Site launched: main 8th CPC pension calculator, fitment factor calculator, family pension calculator, defence pension calculator, Hindi page, pension chart and dated latest-update page.
- Rates used: DR 60% from 01.01.2026 (Cabinet decision 18.04.2026; DoPPW OM 24.04.2026); minimum pension ₹9,000; maximum ₹1,25,000; family pension 30% / 50%; additional pension 20–100% from age 80. No official 8th CPC fitment factor.
How we log changes
An entry is added whenever a rate changes (for example a new DR instalment), an official order is checked, a calculation is corrected or a page is added. Each rate change names the order it comes from, and the "data last updated" date at the top of every page changes with it. Formulas and sources are on How we calculate; our verification and corrections rules are in the editorial policy; announcements by the Government and the Commission are tracked on the latest update page.
